This weekend I decided to take a break from cooking for the blog and instead do some decluttering and organizing + go out for dim sum. Here is a picture of my cookbook bookcase (that’s not all of the cookbooks, *sheepish look*, the overflow is in the living room) now organized by color. Which I realize is an enormous trend, but if a trend can make me as happy as this one does, I’m ready to embrace it without shame. Over coffee in the mornings I have begun regularly to shift my gaze from Andrew’s face, and my thoughts from the conversation we’re having, to focus both on the beautiful display of cooking titles to my right. Andrew has been pretty understanding so far, luckily, and I’m usually able to shift back.
Speaking of extreme happiness, I want to share with everyone another source of joy, which is also another source of morning distraction: this portly pig (see below), now hanging next to our stove. What an amazing find.
And speaking of pigs, I want to leave you with a picture of some adorable piglet custard buns we ate this weekend at the awesomely named Golden Unicorn Restaurant. Aren’t they cute?
